I wrote an article about middle-distance tactics for the Autumn 2015 issue of the British Miler’s Club journal BMC News. It should be available for download at: http://www.britishmilersclub.com/bmcnews/
I’m currently exploring the possibility of producing Youtube videos with middle-distance race video analysis. It takes some time to learn and do the technical editing of these videos, but I hope to have some videos ready for publication by the end of 2020.
I wrote a few analyses of 800m and 1500m races at the Rio Olympics 2016 until it became clear that none of these races will be available on YouTube.
Below are my analyses of 800m and 1500m races at the Beijing World Championships 2015.
Women’s 800m heats and semifinals were all fast and non-tactical, so nothing to analyze there.
Below are my tactical analyses of the London Olympics 2012 1500m races. They were based on my first tactical guidebook, TACTICS FOR 1500 METERS (PDF 221kB, published here 13.9.2013), so the notation differs slightly from the one I employed in the book presented above.
